Date: 2009-02-22 09:53 pm (UTC)In addition, anything that could predict its own future actions from the twin inputs of its own current state and the state of all things that affect it would then need to include knowledge of those future actions into its own inputs, which would then produce new outputs that would have to be further inputs - an infinite loop in the making.
Either one by itself rules out predicting your own future, together they seem to firmly nail the lid of the coffin down nicely.
