Looking forward to leaving Orange.
Jun. 19th, 2008 05:12 pmWhen I arrive at work, at 10-ish, I cannot check email on my phone. It will time-out repeatedly as I try to connect to the server. Web works slowly at best.
After 4:30, it's the same.
During the day, it works just fine, which would tend to indicate that there's nothing wrong with the phone, the software, or the servers (which are Gmail-based, and thus not on UK time in the first place).
Which means the problem is that Orange's internet access is _shit_.
As soon as the N96 comes out I'm running away to O2.

Date: 2008-06-20 07:57 am (UTC)I've got an N80 at the moment, and it's a massive step up. I'm _really_ hoping that the battery life is better - if I use 3G on the N80 I get less than 18 hours out of the damn thing.

The whole application-locking thing annoys me - one they start making third party apps available I'll probably feel a lot happier about that though.
It's almost there though - I'm going to get a year's contract rather than an 18 month one, because I suspect my _next_ phone will be an iPhone.
