The Mulder and Scully viral videos here are great (and the trailer's not too bad).  And the trailer for The Spirit is at least amusing and tongue in cheek.

I'm disappointed by the Sprit, myself. It looks like Miller is making him more of a generic action hero and less the fun, sometimes not too smart, guy Eisner gave us...

I thought that the trailer was making The Spirit look deliberately off-kilter and a bit silly - looked like fun to me.

Thing is for me, when I was watching it, I didn't think I was watching The Spirit. It didn't connect me to the character Eisner created. What I did think was "Oh, it looks like Sin City" which was a great movie but it's a totally different "vibe." The Spirit was always a bit of a goof to me; Sin City is a comic that'll cut your throat if you look at it funny...
