Two Towers revisited

I just spent some time reading reviews of The Two Towers on the IMDB.
And you know what? The only negative ones I found were from people who were complaining "Why is this bit different from the book? Why is that bit different from the book? Why was this left out? Why was that left out? Why didn't it look like the version in my head?"
And that is why I decided not to re-read the books before the film came out. Because I'd spend my film-watching time thinking exactly the same thing.

Date: 2002-12-22 05:55 am (UTC)I want to see how they do it. As far as I'm concerned, I've already seen the movie, in my own mind. A little influenced by Games workshop no doubt... but I've already watched it, by reading the books.
I'm interested in how they present what I've already seen. I'm interested, and excited about someone taking a different and new approach to something so close to my heart. And I certainly don't intend to complain because it's not exactly how I imagined it. Because everyone's imagination is different.
Otherwise, the world would suck. ;)
