I'm now wishing I had a photo of the walls before the first coat of undercoat went on, but never mind. Two coats of undercoat and one of 'soft sunlight' later the carpet has been replaced and it actually feels like a room I'll be happy to sleep in..

They make a much bigger difference than you'd think.

I put off getting them done for ages, despite the advice of tisme, and when I did I was amazed that my front hall looked so much better.

it's where the h*ll to put the furniture whilst they do it when you have a one bed flat all done in one piece... (runners in doorways are naff)

Hello Andrew! Sorry for the short notice but I think Fergus & I are going to see the Naked Portrait exhibish today, at about 3. I don't quite know your schedule, so reckon you could make that? We will probably just meet outside the portrait gallery (Queen Street).
Don't worry if not, if it's THAT GOOD I'm sure I'll be happy to go twice (like with Cartier-Bresson, that were amazing) or you'll be able to tempt others... but if you could that would be grand.

Aw, sucks! Damn the gallery though, not me - it's only open till 5, and I thought it'd be all busy and stuff at the weekend. Hate people.
