Date: 2007-05-07 07:35 pm (UTC)The special effects (especially Sandman) were excellent. Better than that in Sandman's case. But the people stuff was sub-average, and I found myself not caring about any of them about three-quarters of the way through the movie.
People were popping up out of their seats before it was over--there's a scene that looks like the end, but there's one more scene.

Date: 2007-05-07 08:41 pm (UTC)We tried to go today but everyone else in the Basingstoke area had the same idea 10 minutes before us, followed by everyone leaving the car part 10 minutes before us.
Just as well we had a Big Finish CD to listen to while we queued.

Date: 2007-05-10 08:23 pm (UTC)I got it from someone else who had been given it by the creator who is apparently "happy to share".
As it's the name of my lj, it made wonderful "found art" for me.

Date: 2007-05-09 10:33 pm (UTC)It's amazing how audience reaction can completely alter the tone of a scene (referring to Bernard).
Parts of it came across as supers-group-therapy; too much angsting.
There were cringeworthy bits (uh, Travolta).
It was a satisfying ending.
I think three is a good number and that they should stop now.
