That's why I have a problem with most fundamentalists - they're totally invested in the literal interpretation of the Bible, but only some bits of it.

I think that an agency should have to be completely satisfied that the prospective parents will look after the child, but I do not see any reason why a person would fail to do that just because they are gay.

Some gay people would make terrible parents, some would make amazing parents. Ditto for hetros such as myself.

At a push I suppose that the birth-parent decides what agency to go with based on the agency's ethos and their hopes for their child so there is a level of free market there. But is it endorsing discrimination? Possibly.
