Lionhead vs Cthulhu

I was forwarded the following by Mike, from a conversation on an internal Lionhead mailing list. It pretty much perfectly captures the spirit of Cthulhu roleplaying:

You are in a 1920’s drawing room at Lashly Hall talking to Randolph ‘Bunty’ Mcphee and his mysterious swarthy servant Li Chen – one of the ‘sly Chinee’ your uncle warned you about during the Boxer Rebellion.

As you use your ‘fast talk’ skill to discuss dada-ist art and the more obscure chapters of ‘the golden bough’ you glance by mischance down at the chinaman’s feet and see socks THAT ARE OF NO HUMAN SHAPE!!!

Do you:
a) Go insane
b) Go insane
c) Go insane
d) Go insane but not before phoning your old war buddy Thomas Drummond to come and save you? Roll up Thomas and forget about handgun skills… Its fucking useless against Cthulhu.

There is a tradition on a forum that I frequent to refer to things as somethingaaargh - referencing Hodgesaaargh in some of the Lancre-set Terry Pratchett books.

Perhaps Cthulhu should be referred to as Cthulhaaargh
