So, Lilian's off to Spain for three weeks as of yesterday.  Ed's off to Glastonbury and a wedding as of tomorrow.

Things are going to be rather quiet round here for the next ten days.  I've not spent a whole evening alone in about ten years.  I'm simultaneously nervous and intrigued to see what I'm like without someone else about.

You never know, I may even get some of the things done I've promised people...

My own challenge recently was not to default to sitting on irc / messing around online when I was in alone. After a while I was quite enjoying the peace and a chance to read, to the extent that I was quite irritated when my mother called.

Since I live in a relatively small flat with my partner, I actually quite enjoyed the space; something I'll hopefully get a bit more of when we move to a bigger place.
