I can live with that for the moment.

I wish the lib-dems had won, but you did well better than us. Also, I'm hoping that this will mean that Blair goes, and that's a very good thing indeed.

It's still a pretty historic night for the Lib dems, take heart. They have more bargaining power now to keep the corporate whore politicians on their toes.

I voted lib-dem. I was disgusted last night seeing the blind support for Labour despite Tony Blair essentially admitting he lied/misled/whatever-you-like about Iraq.

I know several people who consider Iraq far less important that the many good things that Labour have done.

I didn't vote Labour, but I can understand those that did.

They might be fine with the head of the government lying to them to justify an illegal war, and trying several different lies to convince them at that, but I'm not.

I don't deny that Labour have accomplished a lot - I originally voted them in to do that after all, but Mr Blair crossed the line with Iraq and cannot be trusted.

I feel the same way - and I would have been in favour of war, had it been approached the right way.

I can just understand other people thinking that the alternatives were worse, and that Blair has promised to stand down soon, so they might as well vote him back in.

I was worried that we might argue about this but I actually agree with your first point. If Blair had originally said "We need to remove Saddam because of this, this and this" and set out a clear case, then I may have supported him.

It was the lies, the constantly changing lies and ignoring the challenges and protests that infuriated me.

If Brown takes over, then I might look at Labour again, but Blair absolutely has to go.
