Remember the fuss about the blogger wh was sacked from Waterstones for talking about them on his journal?

He successfully appealed his dismissal.

They offered him his job back.  He decided to stick with his new bosses (Forbidden Planet).

Which reminds me - has anyone else noticed that the current Forbidden Planet SF selection in Edinburgh is remarkably shit?

That's why they hired Joe: he has a remit to revamp the bookselling across the entire Forbidden Planet International chain.

But that sort of thing takes time ...

Well it was a pretty good selection not long ago. Then they replaced the entire book selection with Manga.

Books in a Forbidden Planet? How quaint! I despair of the the FP in Nottingham - they don't have any books there now - it's a bloody toy shop!
