So I went to see Constantine with tisme eduard_green and poisonduk - twas amusing and pretty in parts, but suffered from too much exposition in some areas, not enough in others and a sad lack of characters that really hit home. Frankly, Christopher Walken made a better Gabriel and Viggo Mortensen was a better Satan. That was the main problem - lots of pretty special effects, but nothing which really reached out and grabbed me and made me feel anything. Oh well, at least I got to see the ROTS trailer on the big screen...

I somehow ended up liking Constantine. I went into it thinking I'd absolutely loathe it so maybe that was it. One thing though, who was driving the car at the start? The one that y'know...
A pair of obnoxious idiots came in late and had to get past me at that bit, so I was certain I'd missed something (like an explanation).

There wasn't an explanation, I suppose it's to be written off as an unfortunate accident. If you consider that the film revolved around people having to die to enter heaven/hell before resurrecting, I suppose we had to see the mexican die at some point, there wasn't much scope for ways to kill him.

Andy ommitted telling you that the pair of us were excited giggly kids during the ROTS trailer, he was horrified that I'd already booked May 19 as a holiday, but pretty quick to decide he'd do likewaise so we can dash to a midnight screening like the SW geeks we are!!!

Heh heh. OK that's fine. I'd just assumed there was someone (an equivalent hero or something) trying to take out the new eeeevil force, rather than someone randomly doing 100mph at an archeological dig. Given the end, it could be God I suppose.

Oooh ROTS! I really want to do something special for this one. *plots* I'm not big on midnight showings, but a gold-class one... interesting. :D
