Seriously though - I do feel like I have been isolated from "the real world" for the last five or six years, and in doing so I have missed out on understanding how most people understand life and interact with one another. In part in all fairness this is because I'm not a terribly social person, but to some degree it is because the church is quite an insular thing, and you tend to accept whatever you're told about the (evil) world outside and the (evil, dishonest, etc) people that inhabit it.
I suspect there are a lot of things that will shock/surprise me that I will encounter in the next year - but the sex one is quite 'in your face' because it is such an important part of human life (I think). Still, I don't think that just because the majority (for example) view sex in this way that that is the way I must also view/use it - there are girls (for they are the ones most relevant to my life in this respect!) that have different views about sex/porn out there, ones which may be more compatible with what I was taught, what I feel now, and maybe what I will find comfortable and best for me personally. So it's partly scarey with things being so different, but (Slightly) exciting I suppose.
