IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Jan. 16th, 2005 02:48 pmYou can now read my links either via del.icio.us or via the LJ account
andyduckerlinks. Those of you who just like my links can now go over there, those of you who just like me can stay over here, those of you who like both can find some kind of all-inclusive third-way.

Date: 2005-01-16 03:05 pm (UTC)I think I'm beginning to show my age, Andy. Care to teach an old hag new tricks (with regard to del.ici.o.us, anyway)?
I'll try to figure out wiki on my own...
Love,
The Info Pimp

Date: 2005-01-16 03:22 pm (UTC)If you look at http://del.icio.us/AndrewDucker you'll see a few links. Look at the Greedo one - you'll notice that it's tagged with "Star_Wars" "Greedo" and "funny". If you look over on the right hand side you'll see those tags (and the other ones I've used so far) all with a '1' next to them, as each tag has been used once.
Click on 'funny' and you'll see that only the Greedo link appears, it being the only link I have tagged with 'funny'. You'll now see on the right hand side a link saying "funny for all users" - clicking on that will show you all recent links from _anyone_ that have been tagged 'funny'.
You can also set that up as a RSS feed. Look at the bottom and you'll see a small orange rectangle saying RSS. The file that points to can be read by LJ (or any other aggregator) and read at your own convenience.
I've done so (as an example) and you can find the results at
Any questions?

Date: 2005-01-16 03:30 pm (UTC)I think I've been on LJ too long. It's crippling my ability to interface with technology in different ways.
Love,
A.
p.s. Up for a brief visit, perhaps, this summer?

Date: 2005-01-17 09:14 am (UTC)Why disable anonymous posting? I've never seen the point, meself. If someone wants to anonymously post "Stephen, you are a " in my journal, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Date: 2005-01-17 09:20 am (UTC)I'd prefer people to at least need to spend the 15 seconds necessary to create a journal.
So far it's only been a problem during this outage, the rest of the time it's kept out the occasional troll I used to get.
