If any of you have an interest in politics and fancy a look at an interestingly different and high-tech take on democracy, I highly recommend this article on Kuro5hin.
In fact, if you like a wide variety of articles on a huge range of topics, it's a great site. It's entirely user run (except when the owner (Rusty) wants to post information about the site itself. Anyone can post an article to the submission queue and it's then voted on by any registered member of the site. This results in recent articles on politics, mathematics, computing, pop stars, 9/11 (inevitably) and music. It's well worth stopping by from time to time (or, if you're a paid user, adding the Kuro5hin group to your friends list.
