This is very smart - people won't get continuously stressed because Vivendi are screwing over the release - they will be able to vent their anger in CS: Source / HL: Source...

To hear the Vivendi reps talk about it, it's Steam that's causing the delay. Maybe both of their lawyers should've done better work making the publishing contract.

My current machine will not play such a game

But the parts sit in the house for a new machine to be built

Just the excuse to finish buying a case, HD and Graphics Card and put it all together.

CS is fun but short on long term addiction.

Mmmm I just got an Athlon XP-M (running at 2.4Ghz), 2x512MB of 2-2-2 RAM that runs at 240Mhz, 2x36GB Raptors (RAID-0), and a Geforce 6800GT (overclocked to >Ultra speeds) JUST to play HL2.
