Joe's preparing for his girlfriend's return from France. (Yay Joe and Gemma!)
This includes spraying horrible artificial scent all over the place. I made the foolish mistake of opening my mouth within a minute of him spraying it in the living room, and now I want to go and scrub my tongue with something to get the plastic taken off.
Erin once made the mistake of spraying me with some kind of odor thang. It took me about 2 hours to forgive her, because every time I opened my mouth to say something, I felt sick.
Honestly, I've never smelt one of these things that smelt anything other than vile.
Still, at least it heralds Gemma's return.

YMMV, of course.

Date: 2002-06-02 03:05 pm (UTC)Trivia question: which two flatmates got new glasses recently?

Date: 2002-06-02 03:40 pm (UTC)But I can smell various things around the flat, and largely none of them bother me. Air Freshener, on the other hand, really does bother me.
I remember someone complaining once about dogs, saying they smelt. I didn't understand what they meant, because dogs didn't smell. It wasn't until much later that I realised that, of course dogs smell, but it's such a low level, relaxing, nice smell (to me) that it generally doesn't impinge on me.

I don't live in your house, so I'm not just used to the smell, and when I visited it smelled fine, houselike.
Maybe it's a medication side effect, or brain disease.

Date: 2002-06-01 05:50 pm (UTC)Guy got freaked out when I visited him because I said his flat smelt -just- like my late Grandmother's flat used to when I was a kid. It was neat.
Oh and Andy...? If you're making a jibe at me for burning incense like a hippy, just say the word and I'll rub it in your face ;-)
