Joe's preparing for his girlfriend's return from France. (Yay Joe and Gemma!)

This includes spraying horrible artificial scent all over the place. I made the foolish mistake of opening my mouth within a minute of him spraying it in the living room, and now I want to go and scrub my tongue with something to get the plastic taken off.

Erin once made the mistake of spraying me with some kind of odor thang. It took me about 2 hours to forgive her, because every time I opened my mouth to say something, I felt sick.

Honestly, I've never smelt one of these things that smelt anything other than vile.

Still, at least it heralds Gemma's return.

The idea is that it hides the smell of your coat, the various socks dangled around the livingroom, the mold growing on the bathroom wall, the decaying food under the fridges, the lingering stink of the cat litter tray and mince-based food.

It may have to smell very bad to do all that work.

You should pick out your own air freshener... Maybe the New Car Smell won't be so bad?

This would be where you picked up a reputation as 'Andy the Perceptive'?

Trivia question: which two flatmates got new glasses recently?

Well, you're way, WAY in the minority about the house stinking (me, Saint, most of our friends), so I'm afraid the awful air freshener experiences will continue.

Incidentally, perceptionboy, you missed the question:

Which _two_ flatmates have new glasses? Nick and...?

House

Yeah, as far as I could tell your house didnt have a particular smell, certainly not a strong offensive one.

I agree about the dogs too, personally I think dogs smell like the seaside and find it tremendously comforting.

Use that fabreeze stuff, it's supposed to leave no odour.

that said,

I don't live in your house, so I'm not just used to the smell, and when I visited it smelled fine, houselike.

Maybe it's a medication side effect, or brain disease.

Houses all have their own smell.

Guy got freaked out when I visited him because I said his flat smelt -just- like my late Grandmother's flat used to when I was a kid. It was neat.

Oh and Andy...? If you're making a jibe at me for burning incense like a hippy, just say the word and I'll rub it in your face ;-)
