I just had my faith in humanity restored by the fact that there is such a thing in the world as anti-triclavianism.

A world that has time for such things in it is obviously one without serious problems.

While in fact it is just the belief that *three* nails shouldn't be a tenet of belief ... suddenly I get the flashback of "blessed are the cheesemakers" (well, actually it's probably all fermented milk product producers ....) :-)

Christ on a stick, I had to read that site for a good few minutes to decide it wasn't a parody like the Landover Baptists (who they claim to be trying to shut down)... and I'm still not sure.

Actually, this is the same site that had the Creationist Science Fair; I believe it was generally decided to be a subtle parody

I suspect this is a corollary to "There is no satire so absurd that someone, somewhere won't take it seriously."

But he must be correct, he uses lots of big words:

adiaphora - indifferent things
salvific - salvation as an adjective?
theologoumenic - frontiers of theological thought, matters that are still debated and undefined by the church
supererogative - more than is needed, desired, or required
soteriological - the branch of Christian theology that deals with salvation as the effect of a divine agency
ultramontane - one who maintains extreme views favoring the pope's supremacy

I notice that most of these are adjectives and not in a normal dictionary. I really had to look aroudn to find theologoumenic...

and there was me thinking 'ultramontane' meant 'over the hill' :)

and so i propose:
salvific - reminiscent of the effects of Salvia Divinorum
supererogative - above discussion of the popes' erogenous zones
soteriological - pidgin chinese meaning 'one who is excessively concerned with the purpose of things'
theologoumenic - supporter of the doctrine that god frowns upon greek surnames
and adiaphora - a rare type of twin-necked egyptian vase

there, take these redefinitions and antideevangelificationistify to your heart's contentmentitude with them.

Googling "triclavianism" reveals this site to be an exceedingly subtle and wonderful parody. I'm very pleased, clearly these people have read Jonathan Swift.
