Actually your title should be 'how I feel about proselytising christians' or something. None of it is about God him/her/itself, but about that organised religion.

Actually, I think quite a lot of it is about the concept of god itself - the idea that there's something/ someone who cannot be communicated with directly but should be obeyed in the hope of unverifiable rewards. Yes, that doesn't apply to all religions, but it does apply to the concept of god in many.

The other good thing about that article is that it offers practical tips for getting rid of doorstep god-botherers.

You're right. I suppose that for me the concept of god is just so daft that my attention was more drawn by the religion and corruption aspects rather than the invisible unprovable god bit.
