I wish the Home Secretary would publish her reasons for proscribing Palestine Action.

I can see that we cannot proscribe Israel or the IDF, since belonging to either is neither a choice* nor evidence of committing a war crime, but on the available evidence, PA is less guilty than Israel, yet only PA is banned.

* leaving your country is not a realistic option for most people.

And I am going to go on about the bee in my bonnet.
Israel commits most anti-semitism (weighted for seriousness) - most Palestinians are also Semites.

Legal Status: Palestine Action is still legally a proscribed (banned) organization in the UK. The Met announced they would resume arrests. Deputy Assistant Commissioner James Harman explained that because the appeal could take months and the court kept the proscription active in the meantime, it remains a criminal offense to support the group.

Applying the law as written, and adjudicated by the courts.

Simply, in some cases it might be prudent to wait for the court ruling. The full appeal is expected to be heard later in 2026. Until then, the ban stays in effect.
