They are a fact of life; and they have no more morals than a gastrointestinal parasite.
It is therefore pointless to criticise them for 'failings' and 'failures' that they regard as successes and a secret pleasure.
Or, increasingly, a public one.
Better targets can be found among the amoral mediocrities who make it politically-advantageous to foul the public space with lies and hate speech, as if it is the height of political sophication to walk around with the egg-laying segment of a tapeworm on display.
