7. Yes a 10% tariff is undesirable, but why do we *want* a deal with some one who:
a) has only one negotiation tactic - insist on his preferred deal until you give in, and
b) is pathologically incapable of sticking to his side of the deal.

By right now, you mean until there is a fundamental change in the US political landscape? Because even if some sanity returns under the current environment, it could clearly revert to madness quickly. So other countries have to proceed on the basis that you can't trust any US Government agreement.
