I am already overwhelmed when in a busy public place - I don't need more moving shit in the corner of my vision. I am very very glad I'm not a car owner, because that sounds a) dangerous and b) very very annoying and then I suspect I would very very rapidly want to work out how to hack my car to fucking stop it doing that.

Date: 2025-03-08 03:45 pm (UTC)However I don't see apprenticeships really helping. Industry (no doubt with some exceptions) wants their workforce ready-trained. I've even heard that the paperwork involved in having an apprentice put plumbers off so much that we ended up importing a generation rather than train our own.
