1. FFS. But not unexpected.
2. I find the details of the situation confusing (except that, of course, in the past, the original inhabitants got shafted, and there's still nasty stuff going on...), but that was a hell of show in parliament. "There I Ruined It" on YouTube has a cool musical mashup short people may enjoy...
3. These days, with all the awesome vegan alternatives, I doubt I'd personally bother. After a year on a plant based diet, I probably wouldn't cope well with lactose but who knows. I wonder if the same tactic would work for inulin ... I have an unholy amount of sunchokes (aka "fartichokes") to harvest over the winter
