Date: 2024-09-09 02:47 pm (UTC)If that's the case - that is, introducing the allowance prevented about 5000 deaths, but means-testing it will increase deaths by 4000, that would imply that only 20% of the prevented deaths were in the group who receive pension credits. But surely those are the people who would have been the most likely to be in fuel poverty. I just can't see how that makes sense.
