Sophia spent the last week in rehearsals for a (very cut down to be performed by 6 year olds in 20 minutes) staging of the Matilda musical. She got the role of Miss Trunchbull, who had the most lines in this version of all the characters, she she did very well. Also, she looks awesome in this photo.

Fantastic! Many years from now, when an interviewer asks her about the beginnings of her fabulous acting career, she'll say "When I was 6 years old, I played Miss Trunchbull in Matilda" and she'll show them this photo.

BTW - being in drama club throughout high school totally helped me loads with my social skills - if she's already a bit prone to social anxiety, definitely try to encourage her to stick with it.

When I was about 14 we did a class reading of Lady Windermere's Fan and I read Lady Bracknell. A formative experience in many ways. Go Sophia go!
