Life with two kids: Two bathroom breakthroughs

Nice weekend - Friday at the Royal Highland Show, Saturday at The Bluey Play, Sunday at the museum and then a football-themed birthday party.

Ending with a bath time with two breakthroughs:
1) Sophia, who is now basically swimming, managed to hold her breath underwater for over 30 seconds for the first time, after I talked her through some breathing exercises.
2) Gideon let me wash his hair by pouring water over the back 95% of it without any bursting into tears or screaming at me about his eyes. Which may not seem like much but is a huge game changer in the battle over not having every bath end with a traumatic experience for all of us.

She held her breath for 30 seconds underwater - in the bathtub? Isn't it kind of soapy?

She didn't drink it.

And she had her goggles on.

(Although keeping her eyes shut would have been fine she prefers goggles)

Remind me to have a chat with you about how we washed the Captain's hair. He struggled with soap and we worked out some good ways of getting his hair washed.
