Cass is clearly wittering on about the stuff that was being aimed at me as a transitioning teenager.

And she clearly doesn't know what the hell she's talking about!

It was wrong then and it's still wrong now.

What's going on here is nothing short of dangerous!

It does piss me off that people still think that teenagers don't know their own minds. And also that it's too high risk to allow people the space to think (by deferring puberty).

One pro-Cass article I read was inveighing against the dangers of giving teens testosterone. Surely that's not a deferring-puberty drug? Or is it?

No it's not. As you know that's what's given to trans guys when they begin full gender confirmation treatment and what is blocked for trans girls pre GC surgery.

Since male teens will be producing the damn stuff in bulk, where's the danger?

I transitioned at fifteen back in the seventies and had no choice but to hit puberty twice- the first journey is the sort of thing that can drive kids close to self harm and suicide but clearly these imbeciles don't get that at all.

They just don't seem to understand that puberty blockers easily reverse if it proves not to be what is needed(although it nearly always proves to be exactly what is needed).

I think the point about puberty blockers is crucial and we need to keep repeating it. I'm sorry you had such an awful time. (TBH I found puberty pretty traumatic as a non-trans person, and would happily have blocked it if the means had been available!)
