#5 The problem I have with people fearing AI destroying humanity is that I think only a less-than-general-purpose intelligence would do so, exactly like those Wile E Coyote cartoons when his simple tools get away from him and wreak havoc. A true general purpose AI would be able to explain why it should choose a harmful action within the context of the Price equation regarding altruism. In the simplistic quote from a now-dead Minnesota politician: "We all do better when we all do better."
