On item 2, I was expecting a version of the American auto dealer that built all of ChatGPT into its website, and then people were using it to write programs and otherwise do their homework. One article about that said something like, why pay for ChatGPT when this company had made it available for free.

Yeah, people trying to do custom versions of GPT are not doing a great job of bullet proofing it so far.

Thank you for 3. Charisma plus storytelling ability can put a glamour over many an evil... I think we need to all be vigilant for such, help those who are fooled, but CAN be shown what's behind it - and realise that many others cannot or will not put just LIKE the abhorrent ideas, and as far a we are able do not tolerate or indeed resist them (as appropriate).

Of course I personally do hold there is actual "evil". My definition, at root, is anything based or supported by deliberate physical or mental cruelty or exploitation of those weaker/less fortunate/less capable than ourselves.
