Interesting that bread is okay in UK!

In Australia bread is VERY strongly discouraged for both ducks and swans as it leads to nutrient rich poo in lakes/ponds which combined with warm weather = botulism outbreaks and mass deaths of water birds.

I googled, and botulism affecting waterbirds in the UK does happen, but it is much rarer than in Australia

"The incidence of deaths due to botulism among water fowl in the Norfolk Broads, England, is closely related to two meteorological factors. These are the number of days in summer with a maximum air temperature of 21°C or more, and the excess of water evaporation over rainfall in the months April, May, June, July and August."

Ah yeah, that's probably totally possible in Germany too. Hence the increasing attempts to make public aware.

The German logic is mostly against the pollution aspect too.

But it seems I was mistaken about his unhealthy it is for the birds. I mean it's not great, but neither is starving or aggressive begging.

I will amend my opinions to the latest data.
