I can't help reading the "let's 3D scan and then 3D print snacks" as a perfect metaphor for the likely results of attempts at brain scanning and mind uploading.

I can't find the same level of detail on Orkney, sadly. The closest I get is this: http://www.orkneyjar.com/orkney/orkland.htm

I was trying to prove that Barbie originated at the same time as the development of the atomic bomb, but no; no matter how twisty I get, Barbie is a response to the world where the atomic bomb has already fallen. I did learn/relearn that she was based on a German fashion doll: Bild Lilli:
