3. Urgh. I'm glad the woman got out of that. I think it's not just marriage but any longer term relationship that can be problematic. All too often, at least I've found, the fore/after play and extended parts of sexual activity just vanish, which I suppose tends to affect us women more. Sadly, even directly talking about this can have zero effect. Plus sharing a domestic or financial space (or both) can cause stresses that don't lead to feeling sexy at all. :-(. (I don't know about kids, never had any. I assume they cause the same issues and more).

Do essays make sense in a world with chat-bots ?

I guess you can't do this every time, but why not set the homework as
Get a chat-bot to write a -word essay on gender fluidity in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and print it out. Hand correct the essay and suggest what it missed.

Yes they can get another AI to correct it for them, but they still have point their eyes at it to correct it and physically write in the omissions.

Or are word-processors but not printers now universal for students ?

The way I was taught to coil a cable is not the way I was taught to coil a rope.

I wasn't taught why in either case, but I suspect that it may because a rope is often wound and an electrical cable probably shouldn't be.

I figure I am probably very like most American undergraduates these days. I have not owned a printer myself in well over a decade.
