Indeed. And he should know about Gillick Competence, and yet...

Nice to see a good review on space economics: they are few and far between.

The answer is always the same: look up the delta-vee, calculate the energy cost.

And, almost always, the answer is that if we had an energy source that's *so much better* than chemical rockets to do that, we wouldn't need to go to space to do that.

So it's no coincidence that moving (and obtaining) data, not things, is what we're using space to do.
