5. I think those eight things together probably cover practically every aspect of life with kids - they're mostly good individually, but taking a stand on all of them feels fairly unrealistic. But I do seem to be at the more lassiez faire end of parenting (e.g. we've never imposed screen limits on the girls or controlled their internet use at all).

I don't control either of our kids' screen time. Mostly, they will happily do non-screen time things unless they're exhausted. They like people, they like doing things, and given a chance to play they will.

(Sophia learned more about counting and the alphabet from YouTube than she has from us directly. Not that I'm not happy to do things like that with her, but YouTube songs make it effortlessly fun for her to count/sing the alphabet song.)
