1. Given the laws passed by Putinist Russia's Duma in recent years, I don't doubt that such a list exists and will be enforced, barring a mutiny or bribery or some other intervention.

2. We absolutely need to speed things up for the non-rich parts of the world!

3. Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton ought to go to jail for this. They're paving the way for worse crimes down the road.

4. Good!

6. I don't fault the government of Estonia/Eesti for one second. Especially now.

Still no understanding among the fascists that hormone blockers are not hormones.

They don't care about such details. We already know why.

Depression and strength: I wonder whether it's some sort of absolute strength or if it's relative to the people around you.

We do need to speed things up for the non-rich parts of the world. I don't know if the manufacturing capacity for Covid vaccines is increasing at the moment or not. A lot also depends on how long the immunity actually lasts for and whether that is long enough for rich countries to keep their entire population fully vaccinated whilst also allowing non-rich countries to make progress.

The immortality thing only works if you don't get old.

Yes, healthy immortality -- or at least a lifespan much longer than what we can expect -- would be great for those of us who want to learn all the things. But I don't want to spend hundreds or thousands of years unable to do things.

It makes sense that depression is linked to the risk of being assaulted or coerced.
So I guess both?

Also, skills need to be continually PRACTISED to stay useful. You can't just learn a thing well, master it over many years then not do it for 5 years or so (because you are intensively learning something else) and expect to retain that first skill to mastery level (or any others). The more skills you have, the greater the maintenance burden to retain them all!

It does not take an immortal lifespan to realise this. I think I was about 30 when this horrible reality hit me!

What I'd do with an additional couple of centuries, never mind immortality, is take the STEM track. Sciences and engineering, I think, more than pure maths. Deepen and expand my understanding of reality, and get the chance to do genuinely new and creative things. The arts are for decoration, entertainment and propaganda, which are perfectly fine, but I'd like the chance to make something really new in the world.
