Date: 2021-09-28 04:33 am (UTC)I don't understand why that article on metabolism insists that aerobic exercise doesn't help muscle tone, though. Half an hour of swimming every day for six months (plus eating a bit less) not only got rid of aoround 15 kilos of fat, it was excellent for both my cardiovascular fitness and my muscle tone. A formerly supermorbidly obese chap of my acquaintance began his weight-loss programme by deleting food-delivery apps from his phone and doing wall pushups (he got me doing them as well, they're great for whole-body toning). There was absolutely no need for high-intensity anything.
