I'm not surprised previous studies have found parents are happier than non-parents if they've lumped everyone who wants kids but doesn't have them in with the child-free by choice! Those of us who have never wanted kids are often very happy in our decisions, certainly I don't think any of my child-free by choice friends have regretted their choices. Being an aunty and a dog parent suits me just fine, thanks :)

I love children. I especially love giving them back to their parents when I'm done playing with them.

Quite. I love spending an afternoon with a friend and her adorable 3 year old, but then I come home and she's the one who is kept away half the night!

Marilyn Monroe's autobiography? I'd never heard of such a thing, and her Wikipedia page says nothing about it, though it does say she was good at writing in school. Investigation shows a book called My Story, and another one called Marilyn: Her Life in Her Own Words, and since the latter appears to be shorter quotes this is probably from the former. Books by actors with titles like My Story are usually ghostwritten, and perhaps that's why this one has been ignored, despite having been published in 1974. How reliable is what it says?

Especially since Monroe died in 1962, I'd question if anything written that long after her death was reliable.

Published, I said. Published. Not the same as written.
