Countries that have for whatever reason failed to bring their epidemics under control have given and will continue to give the virus more opportunities to mutate, and the world missed the opportunity in March to send it back into the cave like SARS when Europe and the US let it spread globally unchecked. But based on how other diseases have responded to widespread vaccination, it will hopefully be possible to simply add COVID19 to the list of things that you can die of if you're really unlucky.

From what i've seen on twitter, they had the women officers protecting the statue of Churchill instead.

The 'because covid' excuse is bollocks, the entire reason they were so close together is because the police were deliberately kettling them.
