It's true. There are many activities where the addition of a cuttlefish would delay my gratification indefinitely.

It's true. I feel sure that HLW could rustle up a few Cephalopods if necessary.

I don't think they sell live cephalopods though. All the ones I've seen in the shop have been decidely uncommunicative. Surly even.

I think her job description has evolved since she left in 2003.

Somewhat, but the last time I joined in with her work it was more dancing robots than taciturn cuttlefish.

Well not necessarily but I don't think robots and cuttlefish get on too well. There's a clash of personalities.

I sometimes wonder what architects actually get taught. As a lay person, I thought it was supposed to be about being fit for purpose and well engineered and yet examples like this and the awful building I used to work in exist, and apparently many architects are the bane of engineer's lives...

I get the impression that most architects consider that those few architects are badly letting the side down and ruining it for the rest and therefore require a punch in the face, as a professional courtesy.

My favourite one was the huge mirror-faced building with a concave curve which focused all the sunlight on to one parked car and melted it ...

... and was the second building designed by the same architect to have that problem. Not only did the architect himself not learn from experience, but someone hired him again without putting any kind of "NO MIRRORS" clause in the contract!
