Yes, a sovereign nation may enter into treaties which then restrict its autonomy, but the question is which restrictions the nation is willing to accept. The proper criticism of the "Sovereignty!" types is not being clear on that, not for misunderstanding the concept. Of course, there's a limit to how much detail can fit into a tweet, and I'd give a lot of slack to the use of shorthand terms there.
Rather amazed, also, that the section on how sovereignty lies in the crown, not parliament, fails to mention the meaning of the noun "sovereign".
Food supply - Considering how much stress the question of implementing Brexit has caused, I've been wondering what would have happened had it passed in 1975. Nothing I've read about that referendum addresses the question. This begins to.
2) Mrs Thatcher's pantry looks pretty full to me. Besides, if she were hoarding, wouldn't the hoard be in some closet or the basement or somewhere? I notice she has the absolute essential for a British pantry of the period, a can of beans.
3) Speaking of a can of beans, who's the woman holding one up in the press conference photo? I know who the man sitting next to her is.
