I'm impressed with the mental stability of the man confronting all these newly-found facts about his foundling infancy. Just as one small example, imagine introducing your sister, the one you grew up with, to your newly-met genetic sister. I'd hardly know how to feel about how to react to a situation like that.

Yeah, it's not a situation I even think you could prepare for. I'm glad they encountered so many helpful people on their journey.

That first story...wow. The detective work. The family members who welcomed him, and were relieved to find out the outcome of the rumors and whispers they'd wondered about for decades. The note from the welfare check with his adoptive parents, and the way reading it connected him back to them. ALL. THE. FEELS.

I ask this question in all seriousness. In view of the strong views that you have expressed about the newspaper The Guardian, and your refusal to contribute to it financially, why do you still link to its articles?

Because I'm not giving it any money by doing so. And I'm indicating that there are things they do that I do have an interest in. And will support as soon as they stop also being bigoted.
(There are papers which are too far gone for me to do even that, of course.)

I totally admit it's a grey area. And one I'm almost certainly biased in.
