The lure of a single fix for complex problems is irresistable. I understand that theories are useful for generating research questions, however, as soon as they escape from the lab, some busybody uses them to justify various forms of eugenics and racial/survival-of-the-fittest decisions about who can breed and who can live and who deserves resources and who is a waste of time/space.
