Note to Self: Being pedantic is not endearing.

Of course, large chunks of my brain are now trying to decide between "pedanticness" and "pedanticity"

Sure it is. And, my inchoate grammar instincts prefer "pedanticness," even though they know "authenticity" is correct. How strange.
