I imagine the latter may not go down too well where you are!

No, given the long history of Royal Bank of Scotland, I suspect there will be fair few noses out of joint over it!

Other half is still BoS but they haven't had the same issues.

I assume RBS is preparing for Scottish independence. It will have to move out of Scotland if that happens, since an independent Scotland won’t have the currency reserves to offer credible deposit guarantees to a bank the size of RBS. (That problem may eventually go away, if it joins the EU and the euro, but RBS needs a solution that works on day one of independence.)

Yes, I suspect you're right, which is a good part of the reason I think there'll be noses out of joint over it, because some folks really don't want to concede that it's coming.

I've been unsure of Whittaker's performance since her third episode but uncertain what the cause was; the acting, directing or the script.

It's been an interesting exercise in the craft of drama.

I've been interested in the difference between a good performance and one that is personally to my choice.

As well as the questions around the script.

She's probably been the Doctor long enough that one could write a critical (i.e. about the poor quality) essay on her performance without being labled an MRA nutjob.

At this point, I'm really annoyed at the writers. I think Capaldi was largely wasted because of dumb scripts, and Whittaker mostly has been as well. The few times we've seen *good* scripts, they've been a breath of fresh air.

(This season has been rather better than the past few on average, but is still nowhere near as good as the Tenant days.)

"There's nothing in the London coronavirus story about what happened to the Uber driver. Who will have then picked up dozens more people!"

The BBC was reporting, early this morning, that Uber had suspended his account as a precaution.

Apparently he also presented himself for quarantine so credit to him.
