I had to check the website of the mansplaining convention to be sure, but yes, they actually are billing it as a mansplaining convention. What is it with the right-wing and their hatred of useful new terms in the English language? First it was Donald Trump redefining “fake news” (a useful term, meaning supposed news that is actually invented for clickbait purposes) as merely “news I don't like“; now it's mansplaining's turn. Is this just good old-fashioned “embrace your enemy's word and repurpose it for yourself”, or are they actually unable to understand the concept of women knowing more about a subject than some random guy?
