Bercow is the kind of conservative I wish we had in the US, with some goddamned heart and respect for people.

I'm sure he's got a lot of shitty views too, but he does seem to be more of an authentic 'Compassionate Conservative' than anything George Bush et al ever seemed to be.

We have them in the US, but they're all Democrats these days. You want someone with a lot of crappy socio-economic views but still a lot of heart and respect for people, try Joe Biden.
