Economic Naturalist Questions

A really good economic naturalist question to start with is "Why would you expect the price to bear any resemblance to the cost?"

I was curious about what they'd been convicted of. Looks like it was for gross indency related to photographs of them engaging in sadomasochistic acts rather than anything to do with the socks per se.

yeah, i'm not sure they should have been prosecuted at all. classic case of "let's find *something* to pin on the weirdo".

They have probably obtained socks by deception.

I mean, getting people to do things for charity when in fact you are not a charity is not right but this does smack of find something to keep them off the streets.

Why do I get the sense that I can never escape contributing to this problem? I haven't participated in any of the activities described - that I know of right now - but I still get the need for my guilt by association.

As a serious photographer this sort of thing makes me so angry.

In a landscape like that the least interesting thing would be me!

I have seen all the behavior Paul Reiffer is complaining of (except the littering!) from pros and "prosumer" serious amateur types before Instagram existed, and I was troubled about it then. If one sees Bigname Pro wade out into the middle of a landscape full of penguins or glaciers so he can get his shot while spoiling everyone else's, it does set a precedent.
