Huawei is definitely the new Samsung in my country. I knew nothing of this brand when I bought my tablet from them but it had top reviews on Amazon and other tech sites. Kinda regret it now that I know of their terrible business practices. That being said, they have three big advantages over some other brands: their devices are light, stay cool/cold, the brand-layer crap (their own and Google's) is kept to a minimum and pretty straightforward to disable.

Try loading a Scotsman article in a browser without ad-blockers. It's mind-bogglingly awful. To add insult to injury, the way the ads are loaded means the stuff you're trying to read keeps on jumping around.

Are the Edinburgh Open Streets initiative just another way of the Councik prioritising tourists over residents?

1 day a month isn't going to do much for my pedestrian usage but given where the streets are the touchy-feely gimmick is going to get in my way whenever I forget what day it is.
