I look forward to chipping in for the new Biomes at the Botanical Gardens.

At some point spending money on influencing an election shades from unethical, through technical breaches of election spending laws to substantive breaches of those laws and eventually to the points, where, after accepting money from a foreign government to be spent on illegally manipulating an election result you have committed treason.

I look forward to finding out where Aaron Banks sits on that scale.

Given the likely economic damage to the UK from Brexit, and the deaths that that will cause through e.g. lower health spending or increased deprivation I wonder how we would react if a foreign power had caused the same amount of damage by overtly bombing the Nissan factory in Sunderland or exploding a bomb in the Square Mile.

An interesting point made on Political Betting this morning; that whatever Aaron Bank's role it is unlikely to change Brexit but it does give Teressa May a greater ability to fight off her Brexit hardliners because she has an election legitimacy card to play and can tell them that if they don't play nicely she'll decide that the election should be re-done from scratch.

At some point soon surely the vegans reach some sort of critical mass of numbers and pointless political agitation and divide in to three or four tribes that fight out a violent campaign of civil unrest against each other like Chicago in the 1920's or Ireland in the 1920's.
